CALL FOR CHOREOGRAPHY

Choreography Submission deadline March 15, 2024
Francisco Gella, founding artistic director of the New Century Dance Project (NCDP), invites the submission of choreographic work to be considered for inclusion in the festival’s 2024 New Voices Concert.
Choreography in any dance genre or style may be submitted. The festival’s creative team encourages innovative and contemporary approaches to choreography, including fused forms (e.g. contemporary ballet, contemporary jazz, African-modern, contemporary hip-hop, etc.), dance theater, and experimental work; international dance styles and traditions, and work influenced by such are also encouraged. Diversity of work, performers and choreographers is highly valued.
High School
Students
Seeking high school students who wish to explore choreography and experiment in producing work in a supportive, learning environment and have their work seen in a professional theatre alongside work from collegiate and emerging professional choreographers.
Undergraduate Students
Seeking collegiate level students pursuing careers in dance with a strong interest in dance making and who desire experimenting and testing the development of their own ideas and voice within an environment that will provide qualitative feedback from experienced choreographers.
Emerging
Professional
Seeking early-stage choreographers for a unique opportunity to have their work seen in front of professional directors, leaders and influencers with potential for future commissions. This category includes university/college graduate student work.
